My entry in the August Blipsounds sound design contest. Given a brief silent clip from an anime film, the challenge was to create a suitable audio background, by manipulating supplied recordings of a wide variety of sounds like door slams and radio static.
GoW Attack Comp WesWag entry

First attempt at sound design. This is my Blibsounds July Competition entry. Task was to create a suitable soundtrack for this short clip from a videogame ("God of War"), using recordings of fireworks and other everyday sounds. Used digital audio workstation software called Reaper, which I'm learning to use.

I get a kick out of those. I've always had an appreciation for delicate machining. 🙂
Brilliant! Of course.. 🙂 A bit late, I know. Six years is it? 😅🤣😂
I have similar type of roof bars that are not wide enough. I really want to see how you attached the wooden pieces running parrallel on your existing bars. Great system btw
Genius!!
Excellent job ! Thanks for doing all of the editing and putting this together.
Great job on the video Wes & Brian as the host. We get to relive the journey of the fun we had at the resort together ❤️ 🎶 ☺️ Glad Tom was able to share his 🦈 sharks footage
Such an elaborate setup!
Wow they got the whole landscape going. Could film a movie and make it look like a real train
Ooo how interesting!
Might have to visit one of these fairs someday. Looks neat
What a cool talent! Looks like a fun store
Wow that's some yo yo tricks there
Wow she's so talented. Plays really great
You make it look easy Wes
Yum!! Apricots :D
Nice tour! Looks like a great dive place :)
This was a great tour from you two. Our friend wanted to go here too.
Wow that looked like a fun dive with lots of critters. Our last cozumel experience wasn't quite the same
How fun! Loved watching this video of you guys 🤩
Wow you make us want to learn to ski. We never have tried
Wow that's a lot of apricots
Wow! Thanks for sharing your awesome dive! Makes us want to go diving in Cozumel too :)
Thanks, Wes. Going there myself this week and it was good to get a basic idea of what to expect on the layout. Thanks for your effort putting this up.
Clever. Thanks!!
Did you intentionally have almost NO audio??
This was shot on iPhone and edited on location on an iPad, so no close-mic of talent and resulting location audio was very poor. This was largely intended for friends and spouses back home. A strictly amateur production!
The front yard looks beautiful. I haven't seen it for a while. To paraphrase JCY You've got a yard full of trees that turn into cobbler in July!
Oh you clever bastard 🤣 Love this idea!
Curious if you guys did any shore diving ? If so what was an average depth ? Was it good diving from shore ? Planning a month here ! ;)
Yes, we did shore diving right in front of the hotel. Easy entry. About 35 ft ave depth. Mostly sandy bottom, but some rocky areas and old pier remnants. Dull and uninteresting by Coz standards. Didn't try any shore diving elsewhere.
Thanks for the video! Very helpful. Going to Cozumel via Carnival and I didn’t even consider shore dives. You don’t have to be a hotel to shore dive there right? Anyone can? You mentioned it’s not great diving but I’m considering this in case we want to save money. Do non-hotel guests have to pay to dive here?
Using Porsche to haul lumbar 😭
Nice. Enough Money to drive a Porsche but Not enough Money to Rent a Van or pay for delivery
Nice!
Nice idea for my old suv, but In your case I would be more worried to damage my Porsche than paying a delivery or renting a truck 🤣
Very clever idea!
Brilliant idea. A great inspiration to a DIYer! Now, I can load large plywood by myself. Thank you so much for sharing.
Cool
Appreciate the time you took to make this. But I gotta say, as I currently own only a drill and circular saw and am preparing to go to Home Depot to get lumber to build my first ever workbench, this method involving more stuff that I would need to build isn't really helpful lol. Probably legit for serious woodworkers who don't own pickups though! Will try for sure once I buy my Lamborghini Urus ;-)
Plywood on the roof rack of a Porsche! As a carpenter and a life-long Porsche fan who has never been able to afford one - Bravo!
Much easier to build some rails running fore and aft across the roof rack rails, and load from the rear.
Thanks I’m going to do exactly that!
Wow!
NO TV! everything is divided into different businesses so you have to tip, the kitchen, the dive boat, the dive master, the hotel, the cleaning staff and the security. MAKE sure your money is new and has no rips in it. or they will not take it. The 2 good things are that the boats are big and pick you up on the spot (owner of the dive shop is kinda a dick) the people in the restaurant are very friendly. not so much at the office with in the hotel.
That's a cool idea Wes! This looks really simple to load a sheet of plywood. Well done!
Thanks for the idea
Great idea. Thank you.
Great video Great seeing train pulling over 50 boxcars and great music to follow trains hyballing
I wanna see the driving part! What holds it down so it doesn't blow off?
Obviously, one needs to tie it down, as you would with any load on the top of a car. I thought that was so obvious, that including that step in the video wasn’t necessary. Maybe I was wrong about that.
I'm looking for the same information as Mark Olson, but there is no video on it, perhaps because it's "obvious" to the professionals, but not to me. I have a set of Thule car roof rack and all I want to know is how to secure a big flat object (e.g. a door) down properly so that the object wouldn't blown away and hit the cars around me. I'll appreciate such a video. By the way, this is a great video on its own.
Me too! I get that you have to tie it down -- DUH! -- but my understanding is that plywood can get enough lift to rip the rack off a car. I'm not worried about it falling off, but tearing the snot out of my car. The search continues ..... Oh, nice video .. the design and execution of your little inventions are awesome. It's the utility of it that I still have questions about.
That's a great, and simple, idea for loading and unloading.. The really good designs tend to be simple once they have been developed! Well done Sir. (Nice Porsche as well ;) )
very smart
Hello, thanks for your video. Is that a dowel through the wood? I have a Honda Element and I made a carrier out of 2x4s but lifting them up there on a tall vehicle has been a challenged (I'm only 5' 3"!) You gave me an idea on how to improve my setup. Thanks again.
Yep, just a 1/2” dowel glued into a 1/2” hole drilled all the way through the cross-piece. Size the dowel to stick out the amount you need on both sides. Use a mallet to drive it into place.
Wes Wagnon awesome. Thank you.
